Why chasing calm?
In the hectic, over-scheduled chaos that is life, self-care has become a to-do not a must-do. As a working mom of four children, days have always been crammed with rushed breakfasts, meetings, homework, sports and dinner until you collapse and do it all again the next day.
With the best of intentions you strive to squeeze in some meditation, yoga and quiet family time to keep yourself grounded and focused on moments that matter. But if it doesn’t come with a deadline it goes to the bottom of the list. Energy levels drop. Stress levels rise. It’s a vicious cycle.
Chasing calm is a nod to the irony that we’re rushing around in search of serenity when it actually comes from within.
